This Privacy Policy explains how UnivLife ("UnivLife", "we", "us" or "our") handles the personal data of students and other users of the UnivLife mobile application and website (together, the "Platform").

UnivLife processes personal data in accordance with Algerian Law No. 18-07 of June 10, 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data, under the supervision of the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPDP). By using the Platform, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in this policy and in accordance with Law 18-07.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to provide the Platform, mainly:

Account data: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and basic study information (such as your field of study or university).
Learning data: the courses you follow, your progress, quiz and exam results, and your activity on the Platform.
Purchase data: a history of your purchases and wallet operations on the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Data

To create and manage your account.
To give you access to your courses and learning content.
To follow your progress and improve your learning experience.
To send you notifications about your courses, new content and your account.
To provide support and answer your questions.
To keep the Platform secure and prevent misuse.
To improve our services.

3. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. Your data may only be accessed by:

Your teachers, for the courses you are enrolled in (for example, your name and progress).
Technical authentified service providers that help us run and maintain the Platform.
Competent authorities, when required by Algerian law.

4. Data Security and Retention

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. We keep your data for as long as your account is active, or as long as required by law.

5. Your Rights

Under Law 18-07, you have the right to:

be informed about how your data is processed;
access your personal data;
correct inaccurate data;
object to the processing of your data, for legitimate reasons;
delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app.

6. Minors

Students who are minors should use the Platform with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, as required by Algerian law.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept the new version.
